Bane NOR SF has selected Multiconsult to carry out construction design and tender documents for development of Røyken and Bondivann railway stations along the Spikkestad line in Norway. The project includes preparation of infrastructure work on the Spikkestad line, platform extensions, adjusting platform heights with easy accessibility for all users on both railway stations. The contract value to Multiconsult estimated to NOK 26 million.

Work will begin at the end of third quarter 2023, and most of the technical design construction works will be completed March 2024. The last delivery is set to December 2025 and the finalised project will be put into operation by the end of 2025. The project includes all necessary infrastructure work on the Spikkestad line to ensure good and safe accessibility for the new and longer types of local train sets, as well as adapt easy accessibility on a new and extended platform for all users.

The project will be managed by an experienced team from Multiconsult. Multiconsult is set to implement specific modifications to the existing design and carry out detailed design, construction plans, follow-up of execution, as-build and handover to Bane NOR SF. The nomination of the contract to Multiconsult is subject to standstill period which expires on 5 October 2023.
