MS Industrie AG - MS Powertrain Technologie GmbH expands manufacturing site
Munich, August 4th, 2022. The Management Board of MS Industrie AG (WKN 585518; ISIN DE0005855183) informs about a strategic measure in the Powertrain segment.
The subsidiary MS Powertrain Technologie GmbH expands the production area at the Trossingen/Schura site by 3,500 square meters. The official ground breaking ceremony in connection with the start of construction work took place today. The extension creates space for a state-of-the-art machine park in order to be able to map the steadily increasing customer demand of the coming years as well as newly acquired series orders.
As a recognized manufacturing specialist, especially for small and medium-sized series, MS Powertrain Technologie GmbH supplies high-precision products and systems for several industries and applications. In addition to the global commercial vehicle industry, these include power generation for ship construction, emergency generators in hospitals and data centers, stationary power stations in the extraction of new raw materials, high-performance direct and indirect drives and transmission components in agricultural applications.
Overall, MS Powertrain Technologie GmbH is expected to generate sales of more than EUR 130 million in the current financial year 2022. Due to the positive order situation, the business volume will develop to well over EUR 150 million per year within the next few years. According to the current market situation, the total volume of all long-term contracts in the Powertrain segment for the coming years amounts to a total of EUR 845 million up to and including 2027.
