The U.K.'s competition regulator is seeking input on partnerships between tech and AI companies including Microsoft and Amazon.

The Competition and Markets Authority said Wednesday that it's seeking views from third parties on a partnership between Microsoft and Mistral AI and one between Amazon and Anthropic, an AI firm based in the U.S. Microsoft's hiring of former Inflection AI employees is also a subject of interest, it said.

The regulator hadn't reached any conclusion on whether the business arrangements fall within merger rules or raise concerns surrounding competition in the U.K., it said.

Interested parties can comment to the regulator until May 9.
