Kuzbasskaya Toplivnaya Company reported earnings and production results for the third quarter and nine months ended September 30, 2017. For the quarter, the company reported revenue of RUB 10,332 million. Operating profit was RUB 907 million. EBITDA was RUB 1,422 million. Net profit was RUB 514 million. Operating cash flow was RUB 1,355 million. Revenue in the third quarter of 2017 was up by 59% compared to the second quarter influenced by seasonal increase in demand for coal. Acquisition of property, plant and equipment was RUB 445 million.

For the nine months, the company reported revenue of RUB 25,429 million against RUB 18,269 million a year ago. Operating profit was RUB 990 million against RUB 152 million a year ago. EBITDA was RUB 2,340 million against RUB 1,138 million a year ago. Net profit was RUB 540 million against net loss of RUB 151 million a year ago. Net debt as at September 30, 2017 was RUB 5,534 million. Operating cash flow was RUB 1,933 million against RUB 878 million a year ago. Acquisition of property, plant and equipment was RUB 1,555 million against RUB 1,479 million a year ago.

For the quarter, the company reported coal production of 3.39 million tonnes against 3.04 million tonnes a year ago. Commercial production was 2.95 million tonnes against 2.65 million tonnes a year ago. Coal processing was 2.54 million tonnes against 2.03 million tonnes a year ago.

For the nine months, the company reported coal production of 9.43 million tonnes against 8.56 million tonnes a year ago. Commercial production was 8.17 million tonnes against 7.42 million tonnes a year ago. Coal processing was 7.02 million tonnes against 6.72 million tonnes a year ago.

In accordance with the production plan, the volume of coal production in the year 2017 will amount to 13.4 million tonnes.
