HIGH GRADE RC DRILLING RESULTS EXTEND

CARDINIA HILL

1100m long, North plunging zone open to the North

Highlights

  • Final results returned from RC drilling at the Cardinia Hill prospect, aimed at extending the 106Koz deposit to the North.
  • Final assay results include the following significant intercepts:
    • 2m at 14.5g/t Aufrom 120m (CH22RC192)
    • 4m at 2.79g/t Aufrom 96m (CH22RC185)
    • 1m at 6.11g/t Aufrom 63m (CH22RC188)
    • 1m at 7.17g/t Aufrom 50m (CH22RC203) - open to the north
  • Results coincident with structurally controlled, high grade quartz and sulphide rich zone trending north towards East Lynne.
  • Increased confidence in the Eastern Corridor Mineralised System interpretation

Kin Mining Managing Director, Andrew Munckton, said: "These results from the northern extension drilling of the Cardinia Hill deposit provide confirmation that Cardinia Hill high grade gold lodes can be traced for over 1.1km and remain open to the north and at depth. The next significant drilling along the Cardinia Hill structure is at East Lynne approximately 600m north where previous Aircore drilling intersected exceptional grades (5m at 35g/t Au). The exploration team are now assessing, with a small additional RC drilling program at East Lynne, if the two deposits lie on the same mineralised structure and may be continuous.

"These Cardinia Hill results combined with recent high grade results from Rangoon, Fiona and historical drilling at the nearby Helens deposit demonstrate that the Eastern Corridor area is strongly endowed with multiple structurally controlled ore positions, all of which contain high grade sulphide and quartz vein mineralisation that has a common source.

The Company has only drilled the near surface environment at the Eastern Corridor and believe with further drilling supported by our advanced geological understanding and aided by our detailed gravity model that further significant mineralised positions in this exciting area will be revealed."

"Given the widespread nature of the ore grade intercepts and the near-by location of this exciting area to the Cardinia plant site, we have prioritised for deeper RC drilling the Eastern Corridor which has already commenced at Rangoon and East Lynne."

Kin Mining NL (ASX: KIN or "the Company") is pleased to report final results from the North Extension RC drilling program at the Cardinia Hill prospect, located along strike of the 106,000 oz Cardinia Hill deposit at its 100%-owned1.275Moz Cardinia Gold Project (CGP) near Leonora in Western Australia.

The final assay results include narrow, high-grade intercepts such as 2m at 14.5g/t Au from 120m in CH22RC192, 1m at 6.11g/t Au from 63m in CH22RC188 and 1m at 7.17g/t Au from 50m in CH22RC203, together with other significant results located on a single quartz and sulphide rich zone trending north from Cardinia Hill towards the East Lynne high grade Aircore drilling results (5m at 35.1g/t Au from 40m in EL20AC192, reported 14th September 2020 "East Lynne DD and AC results indicate large mineralised system") located approximately 600m north of the latest Cardinia Hill results. The Cardinia Hill high grade results remain open to the north.

The new assay results support and reinforce the results reported on 30th August 2021 "Continued Exploration Success Across Cardinia" at Cardinia Hill and 12 April 2022 "High-Grade Gold Hits Reignite Focus on Eastern Corridor", from the nearby Rangoon deposits confirming deposits within the Eastern Corridor, including Cardinia Hill, Helens, Fiona, Rangoon and East Lynne form a coherent mineralised system that spans an area of approximately 5.0km by 1.0km.

The style of mineralisation encountered in the Eastern Corridor and at the Cardinia Hill extension drilling reported here is consistent, being quartz and pyrite-rich zones with strong correlation between sulphide content and gold grade. The extensive multi-element assaying completed in the Eastern Corridor has confirmed that the sulphides are also rich in Silver and strongly anomalous in Copper, Antimony, Molybdenum, Selenium and Tellurium suggesting structurally controlled mineralisation above an intrusion related source of the mineralising fluid.

These results reinforce Kin Mining's view that the Eastern Corridor gravity lows highlighted in the recently completed detailed geophysical survey over the greater Cardinia area mark the positions of buried porphyry intrusions and associated alteration of the mafic host rocks in the area. The extensions of known, near surface mineralisation that trend along gravity lows, remain priority exploration targets for new discoveries for the Company's exploration team.

The prospectivity of the Eastern Corridor targets will be further assessed with follow up RC drilling programs at Rangoon and East Lynne currently underway. Assay results for these follow up programs will be provided as they come to hand.

The Cardinia Hill deposit was originally discovered by broad spaced Aircore (AC) drilling in early 2020 testing a substantial gold in soil anomaly highlighted during systematic early-stage exploration conducted in 2019. A significant number of other targets in the Eastern Corridor were also highlighted by this 2019 soil geochemistry program and remain to be drill tested.

2022 RC Drilling Program

The RC drilling program at Cardinia Hill north extension was completed in March 2022 comprised 21 RC holes

(2,100m) on 9 lines at approximately 40m line spacing, which was designed to:

  • Extend by approximately 300m the strike extent of the Cardinia Hill mineralised structure and confirm the tenor of the mineralisation;
  • Test at depth below the limit of AC drilling (nominally 40m) if the historical near surface AC results persisted; and
  • Confirm the geological interpretation that mineralised positions are associated with quartz sulphide lodes with similar relationship of pathfinder metals to the Eastern Corridor mineralisation; and
  • Confirm that all or nearly all mineralisation in the area is consistent with the Eastern Corridor Mineralised System geological interpretation

Multi-element assay results for sulphide mineralisation within the RC holes have confirmed that the mineralisation is associated with anomalous silver, copper, antimony, molybdenum, selenium and tellurium in sulphide-rich vein structures within altered mafic rocks.

Significant intercepts for the RC drilling are illustrated in Figure 2, summarised in Table 1 with hole location details provided in Table 2.
