NEW YORK, Jan. 7 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- JetBlue Airways Corporation (Nasdaq: JBLU) reported today that its traffic in December decreased 1.8 percent from December 2007, on a capacity decrease of 5.1 percent.

Load factor for December 2008 was 79.4 percent, an increase of 2.6 points from December 2007. JetBlue's preliminary completion factor was 97.3 percent and its on-time (1) performance was 62.8 percent. JetBlue's preliminary passenger revenue per available seat mile for the month of December increased 15 percent year over year.
