Imuraya Co., Ltd. announced that it will receive ¥210 million in an equity round of funding from a returning investor, Imuraya Group Co., Ltd. (TSE:2209) on October 24, 2016. As part of the transaction, the investor will acquire 67.741935% stake to maintain its stake at 100% in the company. The capital of the company will increase from ¥100 million to ¥310 million. The transaction was approved by the board of directors of the investor. The tentative settlement date for the transaction is October 26, 2016.
Imuraya Group Co Ltd is a Japan-based company principally engaged in the manufacture and sale of confectioneries, foods, and seasonings. The Company operates in two business segments. The Distribution segment is involved in the manufacture and sale of confectioneries, foods, daily chilled, dim sum, delicatessen, alcoholic drinks, frozen desserts and sweets. The Company provides services utilizing the brands of the restaurants Anna Miller's and JOUVAUD in the sweets category. The Seasoning segment is involved in the manufacture of natural seasonings, nutritional foods, fermented seasonings, and liquid seasonings. The Company also conducts the leasing agency business, the management business for rental housing Ville Grandir, and the real estate leasing business utilizing its own lands.
