An exciting career opportunity exists for an accomplished Process Technician based at the Hulamin Extrusions in Pietermaritzburg.

The core responsibilities of the positions include:

  • Documenting procedures, failure mode and effect analysis outcomes and control plans for continued
  • process optimization (Editing/modifying Control Plans/FMEAs)
  • Monitoring of effectiveness of measures in place under Continuous Improvement Process Control Pillar
  • to achieve product performance (Optimising product performance versus machine capability)
  • Customer complaint investigation and documenting of findings, corrective, and preventative actions to
  • avoid repeats.
  • Support the production team to ensure that production targets are achieved on time.
  • Understanding Quality requirements and Systems
  • Conducting Operators training
  • Conducting base trend analysis
  • Improve Process capability to ensure customer satisfaction.

The requirements for the positions include:

  • A National Diploma/Degree in chemistry, metallurgy, process control or equivalent
  • Experience with process activities
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Statistical Process Control and Root Cause Analysis training
  • Project management experience
  • Experience in ISO Quality systems
  • The ability to work independently as well as in a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
