FRANKFURT (dpa-AFX Broker) - Hochtief shares suffered significant losses on Monday afternoon. After a price slide of up to a good twelve percent, they recently stemmed their decline to 6.3 percent - but this still meant last place in the MDax.

According to a report in the Spanish newspaper "El Economista", a compensation payment from Spain to the infrastructure company Abertis is expected to be significantly lower than the company's claim. This relates to a dispute on the AP-7 highway.

Contrary to the more than 4.3 billion euros demanded, the country's highest court has only awarded Abertis a claim of 33 million euros. Both the construction group Hochtief and its parent company ACS hold shares in Abertis. ACS shares lost 7.9 percent./gl/mis
