Hammerson has today announced a series of new brand signings and openings across its Ireland portfolio, as it continues to reinvigorate Dundrum Town Centre, The Ilac and Swords Pavilions through new uses, leading brands and market firsts.

New openings

- Dunnes Stores at Dundrum Town Centre: Ireland's leading retailer has officially opened its new store, making its long-awaited debut at Dundrum Town Centre. The new 55,000 sq ft store boasts an extensive homewares range, alongside children's, men's, and women's fashion and forms part of a major reconfiguration and repositioning of Dundrum Town Centre, with new and highly sought-after contemporary brands brought in which engage and excite new and loyal customers.

- Foot Locker at The Ilac: The newly opened store serves as an athleisure anchor for the city centre destination, adding to a strong line up of high-profile brands including Dunnes Stores, River Island, Boots, TK Maxx, Flying Tiger and Smiggle.

- Sinead Keary the Label at Dundrum Town Centre: The leading Irish stylist and fashion designer will combine forces with her sister, renowned make-up artist Sarah Keary in an exciting pop-up store due to open just in time for the Christmas rush.

New signings

- Skechers at Dundrum Town Centre: The world's fastest growing footwear brand will open a new 4,000 sq ft store in December 2023, bolstering Dundrum's athleisure offering which continues to be a top performing category across Hammerson's portfolio.

- Zero Latency at Swords Pavilions: In a market-first, the virtual reality gaming experience brand will transform and repurpose storage space on the upper floor of Swords Pavilions. This forms part of a wider strategy to diversify Hammerson's occupier mix whilst creating new reasons to visit including through experiential-led concepts and placemaking. Zero Latency will open in Spring 2024.

- Liverpool FC at The Ilac and Swords Pavilions: The 6-time Champions League winners will unveil two new merchandise stores. Following the huge success of a pop-up at Swords Pavilions, Liverpool FC will open a new 3,800 sq ft store in time for Christmas packed with the latest home and away kit, souvenirs and gifts, while at The Ilac, customers will soon experience a new upsized 2,400 sq ft store due next year.

- CeX at Swords Pavilions: Next month, the international second-hand computing, video games, and technology repair brand will open a new Ireland flagship - incorporating its latest store design - meeting demand from customers for a high-profile gaming offering.

These new signings further demonstrate Hammerson's ability to successfully enliven its portfolio by leveraging its unique locations, increasing its focus on placemaking and introducing leading brands to create exceptional environments for visitors and occupiers.

They follow the recent opening of Penneys and Nike Live alongside Superdrug, Tag Heuer and a new best-in-class workspace for Western Union earlier this year.

Connor Owens, Managing Director, Asset Management (Ireland) said: "The addition of these high-profile - and diverse - brands demonstrates that we are delivering against our strategy to reposition and enliven our assets by creating truly multi-purpose 'destinations' which offer innovative retail, entertainment and social experiences. Best-in-class occupiers recognise the importance of our unique city locations and the integrated experience that we offer, and these new brands epitomise the 'flight to quality' we are experiencing across our portfolio. Dunnes Stores opening is a fantastic draw in the lead up to Christmas along with Skechers and Foot Locker, whilst Zero Latency, CeX and Liverpool FC ensure we are well positioned to engage new and loyal audiences next year across our Irish destinations, and there's more to come."
