Ferrari presents its new 12Cilindri Spider, an open-top car powered by an 830 hp V12 and inspired by the open-top models of the 1950s and 1960s.

The car's design breaks with recent Ferrari canons, eschewing muscularity and sensuality in favor of a 'more futuristic language based on formal purity'.

The engine can reach a maximum speed of 9,500 rpm. To enable the V12 to reach such high speeds, engineers worked to reduce the weight and inertia of engine components, adopting titanium connecting rods, which guarantee a 40% saving in rotating mass compared to steel with the same mechanical strength.
