Eramet - Gaëtan Halna du Fretay appointed General Delegate in Gabon

As of July 1st, 2020, Gaëtan Halna du Fretay has been appointed Eramet's General Delegate in Gabon. Based in Libreville, he reports to Kleber Silva, Deputy CEO in charge of the Mining & Metals Division at Eramet.

He is replacing Bruno Faour, who now holds the position of Public Affairs Director at the Group's Mining & Metals Division. The Group thanks him for his commitment in Gabon over the last two years.

Gaëtan Halna du Fretay has extensive experience in public and institutional relations as well as in the field of security.

This appointment is part of the Eramet group's policy in Gabon to increase production capacity at Comilog and build up transport capacity at Setrag, despite the uncertain international economic climate.

Gaëtan Halna du Fretay will be tasked with supporting business development of these two subsidiary companies as part of a partnership between the Eramet group and the Gabonese government, while maintaining relationships of trust with country officials, government agencies, NGOs, and international representatives.

Gaëtan Halna du Fretay holds a master's degree in public law from the University of Paris II Assas, as well as a master's degree in risk management from the University of Paris I Sorbonne. After spending the first part of his career in the French Gendarmerie Nationale, including eleven years at the Presidency of the French Republic, he joined the AREVA Group (now Orano) as VP in charge of people protection and international sites, before joining Eramet in 2012.
