EnBW Energie Baden-Wuerttemberg AG has appointed Frank Mastiaux as a member and chairman of the board of management, effective October 1, 2012 for a term of five years. Since 2007, Frank Mastiaux has handled the development and expansion of the renewable energies division, implementing a number of projects in the areas of onshore and offshore wind power, solar power and biomass. This was part of his remit as CEO of E.ON Climate and Renewables. Currently, Frank Mastiaux is heading E.ON's expansion drive in selected markets outside of Europe as CEO of E.ON International Energy. A graduated chemist, he previously held management positions in the oil and gas industry in Germany, the US and the UK for more than 15 years. Until 2007, he was CEO of the liquefied petroleum gas business of the BP group in London.
