The chief executive officer of Emirates NBD, Rick Pudner, will step down from his position at the bank at the end of this 2013. Having been with the bank for over seven years, Pudner is expected to stay in the job until the completion of his term at the end of 2013. Then, he will hand over the role to a new leader as part of the succession planning process and the organization's strategy for change and transformation.

During his tenure, Pudner oversaw the merger between Emirates Bank International and National Bank of Dubai, to form Emirates NBD. And prior to joining Emirates NBD, he worked with HSBC for more than 24 years.
