Dollar Tree reports a fourth-quarter loss of $7.85 per share, but adjusted EPS up 25% to $2.55 on revenue growth of 11.9% to $8.63 billion (+3% like-for-like).

The discount retailer points out that its adjusted EPS excludes goodwill and intangible asset impairment charges, as well as charges related to portfolio optimization projects.

The portfolio optimization review indicates that around 600 Family Dollar stores will close in the first half of fiscal 2024, and a further 370 when their leases expire", it adds.

With full-year EPS of $5.89 and revenues of $30.6 billion, Dollar Tree anticipates target ranges of $6.70 to $7.30 and $31 to $32 billion respectively for fiscal 2024.
