BERLIN (dpa-AFX) - The faltering food delivery company Delivery Hero wants to reorganize its supervisory board under pressure from investors. Kristin Skogen Lund, currently head of the Norwegian media and online retail group Schibsted, is to head the supervisory board in future. She is to be elected to the Supervisory Board at the Annual General Meeting in June and will then take over as Chairman, as Delivery Hero announced in Berlin on Monday. The current Chairman of the Supervisory Board, Martin Enderle, is also to be re-elected to the Council, but will relinquish his position as Chairman. The Supervisory Board is also to grow from six to eight members. According to the Nomination Committee, the growth and complexity of the company make an expansion necessary. The Delivery Hero share price rose slightly beforehand.

At the beginning of April, there had been speculation that activist investor Sachem Head had demanded a say on the Supervisory Board. From Sachem Head's perspective, Delivery Hero's business and share price were disappointing, the news agency Bloomberg reported at the time, citing insiders.

The US investor announced on Monday that he would support the changes to the Supervisory Board. According to its own information, Sachem Head holds 3.6 percent of the MDax group via shares and derivatives. "We see enormous potential in the food delivery market and for Delivery Hero with its strong competitive position in highly attractive markets," said Sachem Head founder Scott Ferguson according to the press release.
