On the occasion of the publication of its quarterly results, John Deere announces that it has lowered its net profit target range for fiscal 2023-24 to between $7.5 and $7.75 billion, compared with between $7.75 and $8.25 billion three months ago.

"Going forward, we expect fleet replenishment to moderate as agricultural fundamentals normalize from the record levels of 2022 and 2023", explains CEO John May.

For its first accounting quarter, the agricultural and construction machinery manufacturer posted net earnings down 11% to $1.75 billion, or EPS of $6.23, on revenues down 4% to less than $12.2 billion.
