Cyient Limited announced consolidated earnings results for the first quarter ended June 30, 2017. For the quarter, the company reported operating revenue of INR 9,070 million against INR 8,349 million a year ago. Operating profit was INR 1,160 million against INR 1,090 million a year ago. Profit before tax (PBT) was INR 1,198 million against INR 929 million a year ago. Profit after tax (reported) was INR 878 million against INR 740 million a year ago. Profit after tax (adjusted) was INR 878 million against INR 740 million a year ago. Basic EPS (reported) was INR 7.8 against INR 6.6 a year ago. Basic EPS (adjusted) was INR 7.8 against INR 6.6 a year ago. Capital expenditure was INR 258 million against INR 196 million a year ago. Earnings before interest and tax were INR 1,172 million against INR 911 million a year ago. The free cash flow generated stands at INR 468 million which is 43% of EBITDA.
For the year 2018, the company expected to clock a tax rate of 26% to 28%.
