COSCO SHIPPING Development : Norwegian Consul General in Shanghai Visited COSCO SHIPPING Development

　　On May 22, Ms. Lise Nordgaard, the Norwegian Consul General in Shanghai, and Mr. Martin Wernli, Chairman of the Norwegian Chamber of Commerce, and their delegation visited COSCO SHIPPING Development and had a friendly meeting with Liu Chong, chairman of the Board and secretary of the Party Committee of the Company, and Ming Dong, deputy general manager of the Company.

　　At the meeting, Liu Chong extended a warm welcome to Ms. Lise Nordgaard and her delegation and introduced the business development direction of COSCO SHIPPING Development as an industry and finance platform of COSCO SHIPPING Group, the project of 700TEU electric container ship to operate on the Yangtze River mainline and the China Electric Ship Innovation Alliance.

　　Ms. Lise Nordgaard expressed her heartfelt thanks to the Company for the warm reception and indicated that China and Norway are both large maritime countries and their basic conditions permit us to promote the application of electric vessels on a large scale. Furthermore, both countries are committed to being contributors and leaders in ecological protection. Ms. Lise Nordgaard hoped that with the establishment of the China Electric Ship Innovation Alliance, the cooperation between Chinese and Norwegian enterprises would be strengthened in areas such as the ship electrification industry cluster, further deepening exchanges, enhancing understanding and promoting friendly relations between each other.

　　Liu Chong said that the China Electric Ship Innovation Alliance is market-oriented and an open. The alliance is very willing to deepen strategic cooperation with enterprises that are interested in contributing to green shipping and jointly promote the green transformation of shipping. During the meeting, the two sides fully exchanged their own views on the feasibility and path of cooperation in the area of ship electrification.

　　Mr. Rolf Petter Almklov, Commercial Counsellor of the Norwegian Embassy in Beijing, relevant personnel from Innovation Norway and Kongsberg Maritime, as well as relevant persons in charge of the Shipping Leasing Division and Industrial Investment Division of COSCO SHIPPING Development and the electric ship project team attended the above meeting.
