Cooper Energy Limited (ASX: COE) announces that Mr David Maxwell has flagged his intention to retire as Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer during 2023, after the appointment of a successor. Mr Maxwell joined Cooper Energy as Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer in 2011. Cooper Energy's Chairman, Mr John Conde AO, said 'David has been the cornerstone of Cooper Energy's development during his leadership over the last eleven years and the Board appreciates greatly his commitment, dedication and indefatigable pursuit of the company's strategy, always in the best interests of shareholders.

We respect David's intention to retire and appreciate the lengthy notice he has given us to help our planning for his successor.' 'In the meantime, it is business as usual at Cooper Energy.
