China Yangtze Power : CYPC Convenes 2023 Mid-year Work Conference

On the morning of July 26, China Yangtze Power Co., Ltd. ("CYPC" for short) held the 2023 mid-year work conference. The conference summarize and review the work of CYPC in the first half of 2023, and analyze its current situation and challenges to a deeper extent. At the conference, the relevant leaders also study and make arrangements for its key work in the second half of the year. MA Zhenbo, Vice Chairman of CYPC, attended the conference and delivered a speech. ZHANG Xingliao, General Manager of CYPC, presided over the conference.<_o3a_p>

It was pointed out at the conference that in the first half of 2023, CYPC insisted on consolidating the achievements made in large-scale hydropower at a high level, expanding new development space with high quality, and promoting scientific and technological innovations at a high position, as part of the efforts to jointly improve quality, and tackle difficulties and stabilize growth. CYPC has a remarkable track record in the management of cascade hydropower plants, development of new business, scientific and technological innovation, and management & control of international businesses, etc. Besides, it is generally stable in terms of operation safety status, and makes progresses in key tasks in an orderly manner, laying a solid foundation for completing the annual production and operation goals and tasks. <_o3a_p>

It was requested at the conference that all officials and employees of CYPC should make comprehensive efforts and take multiple measures to complete the annual production and operation tasks. It was required that they should earnestly implement CTG's decisions, stick to the main responsibilities and businesses and promote the high-quality development of CYPC. It was also required that they should always put operation safety first, strengthen the construction of system, talents, culture, science and technology, and work to create an intrinsically safe enterprise. <_o3a_p>

It was stressed that in the second half of the year, CYPC should scale new heights in key tasks such as power production, reform & development, scientific & technological innovation, and cost reduction & efficiency improvement. CYPC should take actions in five aspects. First, we should generate more electricity in a operation safety mode, optimize the dispatch and operation with multi-party cooperation, and prepare for flood control so as to ensure operation safety on an ongoing basis. Second, we should work together for development, push forward with the development of pumped storage business and Jinxia New Energy Base, and develop the integrated smart energy business with high quality. Third, we should persevere in enhancing innovation, and optimize top-level design. We should ensure the effectiveness of innovative management measures and further improve innovation efficiency. Fourth, we should take multiple measures to stabilize growth, and resort to any possible means to promote investment in key areas. Besides, we should enhance cost control, and continuously improve marketing value. Fifth, we should keep upright, innovate, polish and enhance the brand image, and fulfill social responsibilities in a targeted way.
