(Alliance News) - Byotrol PLC on Wednesday said its Chief Executive Officer Vivan Pinto has stepped down.

The Chester, England-based manufacturer of biocidal and antimicrobial cleaning products said Pinto has stepped down "to pursue other opportunities".

He has held the role since November 2022, having previously been the company's chief growth officer.

Pinto had taken over from David Traynor. Traynor was Byotrol CEO from 2013 to 2022.

At the time, Traynor was appointed as executive chair of the company.

He has now agreed to act as interim CEO until "a suitable replacement for Vivan is appointed".

Chair Trevor Francis said: "From the time that Vivan took over from David Traynor as CEO, he was committed to drive forward the company strategy and build the organisation for the exciting opportunities that we all believe are achievable. The board thanks Vivan for all his efforts over the last 20 months and would like to wish Vivan well for the future."

Shares in Byotrol were down 1.9% to 1.57 pence each in London on Wednesday afternoon.
