Bridgestone Corp. said it has appointed Executive Vice President Akihiro Eto to the restored post of president, revamping management to expand its overseas business in markets such as Europe and China. Eto, 58, will take on the new post effective Jan. 1, while Masaaki Tsuya, 66, will remain as CEO and chairman of the board. Eto will also double as COO, replacing Kazuhiro Nishigai, who will stay on as a member of the board but with no right to represent the company.
