Barry Callebaut announces the appointment of Amr Arafa as chief digital officer, effective January 15, 2024. He will report directly to CEO Peter Feld and join the Swiss chocolatier's extended management team.

In this newly created position, Amr Arafa will be responsible for 'driving the company's commitment to creating an agile, technology-driven organization that will support Barry Callebaut's growth strategy into the future'.

Amr Arafa has acquired in-depth expertise in digital transformation in his previous roles. Prior to joining Barry Callebaut, he worked at IKEA, where he held the position of chief data officer for over four years.
