Bank of Hawaii recently announced it has promoted Patrick McGuirk to vice chair and chief administrative officer, and Sharlene Ginoza-Lee to senior executive vice president of the financial institution. McGuirk - who joined BOH in November 2020 - has been promoted from senior executive vice president, chief general counsel and corporate secretary to vice chair and chief administrative officer. In his new role, he will continue to oversee divisions of the bank including Legal, Corporate Insurance Services, Corporate Communications, Investor Relations, and more, according to the announcement.

In June 2021, McGuirk was named the bank's first Environmental, Social and Governance chair. He previously served as a general counsel at Flagstar Bank in Michigan, and began his career as a lawyer in private practice in New York. McGuirk serves on the boards of The Hawaii Institute for Public Affairs and The Institute for Human Services, according to BOH.

Sharlene Ginoza-Lee, chief people officer for the bank, has been promoted from executive vice president to senior executive vice president. She will continue to oversee the bank's People Services division, including compensation and benefits, learning development programs, talent acquisition, operations, and culture and employee experience. Ginoza-Lee joined Bank of Hawaii's Human Resources department in 1994, according to the bank.
