(Alliance News) - Angus Energy PLC said on Wednesday morning that it had appointed George Lucan as chair, confirming a previous announcement made last month.

Angus, a UK-based independent onshore oil and gas development company, said it wishes to become "a significant player in the aggregation, production and storage of gas".

The company said it had finalised the appointment of George Lucan as executive chair, Richard Herbert as chief executive director, Patrick Clanwilliam as non-executive director.

Angus also announced the non-board appointment of Tim Kaye as its director of UK operations. Kaye, who has previously worked with BP PLC and EnQuest PLC, joined Angus in September, 2022.

The company credits Kaye with leading the project to install and commission its second gas compressor at the Saltfleetby Gas Field. The site produces gas from East Lincolnshire, and Angus acquired a 100% interest and operatorship in 2022.

Shares in Angus closed up 2.4% at 1.72 pence each in London on Wednesday.
