In line with its forecasts, automotive equipment supplier Akwel has announced sales of almost 1.07 billion euros for 2023, up 7.9% (+9.6% in organic terms), returning to a level of activity close to that of 2019.

While it confirms an increase in current operating profitability in 2023, it warns that the provisioning of industrial restructuring costs in France, with the closure of the Gournay site, should weigh on operating and net results.

With regard to 2024, and based on projections of stable global automotive production in its main markets in Europe and North America, Akwel currently anticipates a level of activity equivalent to that of 2023.
