Air France-KLM has reported a net loss of 480 million euros for the first three months of 2024, widening by 143 million on a year-on-year basis, with operating margin deteriorating by 2.5 points to -7.4%.

Air transport was affected by costs linked to operational disruptions and lower cargo revenues, while its total sales rose by 5.1% to 6.65 billion euros, on capacity increased by 4.5% and traffic up by 5%.

For 2024, Air France-KLM forecasts that capacity in available seat-kilometers for the Group, including Transavia, will increase by 5%, and that its unit cost will rise by around 1-2% compared with last year.
