(Alliance News) - Budget carrier easyJet PLC has been promoted back to the FTSE 100 index following the latest quarterly review, replacing gold miner Endeavour Mining PLC, which is relegated following a sharp share price slide so far this year.

Logistics firm Wincanton PLC has been promoted for a likely short-lived stint on the FTSE 250. The company on Monday accepted a new GBP604.7 million takeover bid from CEVA Logistics UK Rose Ltd, a subsidiary of shipping and logistics company CMA CGM.

Infrastructure Kier Group PLC joins Wincanton among the FTSE 250s, with the duo replacing IT-focused professional services provider FDM Group Holdings PLC and oil and gas explorer Tullow Oil PLC.

FTSE Russell confirmed on Wednesday that the following changes will take effect to its UK indices from the market open on Monday, March 15, after completing its quarterly review.
