MOSCOW, Sept 14 (Reuters) - Russia's Aeroflot expects to carry at least 47 million passengers next year, to show passenger traffic growth of more than 4% from a revised forecast for 2023, the Interfax news agency reported on Thursday, quoting the airline's CEO.

"The baseline scenario for 2023 had been 43 million. By mid-year, we realised that we could add on, so we adjusted (the forecast) to 45 million. The target for next year is at least 47 million passengers," Aeroflot CEO Sergei Aleksandrovsky was quoted as saying.

In the first eight months of this year, the group's passenger traffic grew by 16% to 31.2 million people. (Writing by Marina Bobrova; Editing by Tom Hogue & Simon Cameron-Moore)
