The Canadian dollar strengthened against the greenback on Wednesday, and the yield on benchmark government debt slipped. The loonie was trading 0.1% higher at C$1.3762 to the greenback, or 72.66 U.S. cents, after trading in a range of 1.3759 to 1.3783. Canadian government 10-year bond yields fell 1.1 basis points to 3.807%. The yield on similar U.S. government benchmark debt fell to 4.6613%. U.S. June crude futures fell $1.24 to $80.69 a barrel on Wednesday.
