In 2006, Mr. Burns joined Alvarez & Marsal, a New York-based interim management firm where he participated in the turnaround activities of the recently merged movie rental chains Hollywood Video and Movie Gallery.
Mr. Burns holds a BS in marketing from Bradley University and completed accounting coursework at the University of Illinois.
