Dr. Susan Lewis is a Founding Employee & Senior Analyst at CreditSights, Inc. She was the original architect of the CreditSights default risk model and was a founding member of the CreditSights team in 2000, contributing the intellectual capital from the BondScore default risk model.
Ms. Lewis has transferred the discipline developed from a background in statistics and quantitative social sciences to the markets via her design and stewardship of CreditSights' BondScore credit scoring toolkit.
She now heads the Credit Risk Modeling Group.
Previously she was an Analyst in WR Hambrecht & Co.'s New York-based debt capital markets group (1999-2000) and was a member of the team that created one of the first Internet auction systems for new issue corporate bonds.
Before entering the field of financial markets research, she held positions as a postdoctoral researcher and visiting instructor at Ohio State University (1997-1998) and a visiting instructor at Wittenberg University (1996-1997).
Dr. Lewis received a Ph.D.
in Demography from the University of California, Los Angeles in 1997, a Master of Science in Sociology from UCLA in 1988 and a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Sociology from Baylor University in 1985.
