Rana Mitra

Rana Mitra is a Managing Director at Atalaya and is responsible for investing in private credit across a number of asset classes, with a particular focus on Equipment Leasing.
Prior to joining Atalaya, Rana was a Vice President at Del Mar Asset Management, a multi-strategy hedge fund where he primarily focused on private credit and distressed investments and also reviewed relative value investments across bank debt, bonds, CDS and equities.
Previously, he was a Director at Marc Bell Capital Partners, LLC, a special situations investment firm involved in private equity, credit and public equity investments, where he was responsible for sourcing, screening, financial analysis, transaction execution and the management of portfolio companies.
Rana began his career in the Investment Banking Division of Bear, Stearns & Co. Inc. He holds a BS in Economics, summa cum laude, from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and was a member of Beta Alpha Psi.
