Michael L. Ashall

VenCap is led by Michael Ashall who founded the company in 1987.
He was previously responsible for establishing BP’s corporate venture capital investment portfolio and, subsequently, BP became VenCap’s first client.
Prior to BP, while at ICL, Mr Ashall was responsible for M&A and private equity investment activities and has been active in private equity, originally as an entrepreneur, for approximately thirty years.
He qualified in Electrical Engineering and Computing and has an MBA from Cranfield School of Management.
