Elena M. Millner

Before joining Sterling Partners in 2007, Ms. Millner was a Senior Analyst within the International Research Market at Thermo Fisher Scientific.
She served as an internal consultant, working closely with general managers across the company’s international entities on critical initiatives.
During her tenure at Thermo Fisher, Ms. Millner helped raise the performance of 18 under-resourced international divisions.
She managed global customer bids and implementation as well as post-integration work in building out operations across Northern Europe.
She also targeted new areas for geographic expansion.
During her time at Thermo Fisher, she launched a supplier program that drove $1 million in profit improvement in the first year.
Today, the program continues to deliver bottom-line profit improvement results for the European team through a focus on long-term partnerships with key branded suppliers.
Ms. Millner has also served as a P&L Profit/Business Analyst, and a Product Development Platform Finance Analyst, for Ford Motor Company.
At Ford, Ms. Millner was selected for the company’s Corporate Rotational Program in Finance.
Elena leverages her domestic and international operations experience and past successes in her work at Sterling.
She launched the first phase of the Sterling Procurement Program in 2007, which included 15 Sterling portfolio companies.
The program has already identified $4.5 - $5 million in annual sales in initial spend categories alone.
After the successful completion of this pilot phase, she and Sterling are now scaling the Procurement program to become a standard tool for Sterling portfolio partners.
