Amit Shashikant Thanki

Mr. Amit S.
Thanki is a Senior Investment Officer at San Bernardino County Employees' Retirement Association.
As a member of the investment team, he is responsible for the development of investment goals, underwriting investment opportunities, manager selection, and investment operations.
He has over 16 years of experience in the investment management industry.
Prior to joining San Bernardino County Employees' Retirement Association in April 2012, Mr. Thanki was an Investment Analyst at Orange County Employees’ Retirement System where he was responsible for the oversight of the hedge fund, public equity, and public fixed income portfolios.
In addition, Mr. Thanki was responsible for portfolio rebalancing, manager due diligence and hiring, and oversight of the cash overlay program.
Prior to joining OCERS, he was a Senior Associate in the marketing and business development group at PIMCO focusing on emerging market, high yield, and structured credit strategies.
Mr. Thanki earned his MBA from the Paul Merage School of Business at the University of California, Irvine and received his BS in Business Management from Oklahoma State University.
Additionally, he is a CAIA charter holder and a member of the CAIA Association.
