Mr. Aaron M.
Bennett, CFA MBA, is the Chief Investment Officer at the University Pension Plan (UPP).
He leads all aspects of UPP's global investment strategy and operations, working closely with the Executive Leadership Team and Investment Department leaders.
Mr. Bennett drives and evolves UPP's innovative, risk-optimized investment platform grounded on the Plan's mission of retirement security and sustainable investing.
Prior to joining UPP, Mr. Bennett supported continuous improvement of systemic and robust investment analysis, policy formulation and strategic implementation across portfolios and asset classes at Jarislowsky Fraser Global Investment Management, Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan and mid-sized Canadian boutique investment banks.
At these firms, he held roles focused on natural resources, private energy and timberland portfolios, served on boards of investee companies, and was an active member of responsible investing committees.
Mr. Bennett holds a Bachelor of Science Honors in Biology from Queen's University and a Master of Business Administration from the Ivey School of Business at Western University.
He is also a CFA Charterholder.
