WSP Global Inc. announced two executive appointments, to support its 2019-2021 Global Strategic Plan. Philippe Fortier has been appointed Chief Legal Officer of the Corporation, effective July 2019. In this position, he will hold overall responsibility for WSP’s legal affairs, in addition to supporting acquisition activities. Mr. Fortier will also be WSP’s Corporate Secretary and will join WSP’s Global Leadership Team. Before joining WSP, Mr. Fortier was a partner of the law firm McCarthy Tétrault where he practiced corporate law, including mergers and acquisitions, securities law and corporate finance, for over 15 years. The Corporation has also appointed Greg Kelly, President and Chief Executive Officer of WSP in the United States to a newly created global role of Global Director, Major Projects and Programs. In such role, he will be responsible for the performance of the Corporation’s major projects and programs, as well as the development of WSP’s market positioning, of its major project managers and of related processes. Mr. Kelly’s new role will become effective once his successor is appointed. Until then, he will continue to serve in his current position.
