Andrei Kostin, Chief Executive Officer of VTB Bank (public joint-stock company) (LSE : VTBR) has confirmed its interest in acquisition of Public joint-stock company Vozrozhdenie Bank (MISX : VZRZ). VTB is ready to buy Vozrozhdenie Bank at a price lower than the latter bank's capital and has already made a price offer, Kostin said. VTB is negotiating the deal not with the bank's owner Dmitry Ananyev, but with Bonum Capital, as Ananyev transferred all corresponding rights to Bonum Capital and was unable to be reached, Kostin said.
