Volkswagen has announced that one of its distributor partners has been awarded goTOzero RETAIL certification for the first time.
The certification was developed for Volkswagen's 17,000 dealers in 150 countries, as part of the 'goTOzero' environmental program.
The certification aims to reduce the network's carbon footprint by at least 30% between 2020 and 2030.
Partners of the Volkswagen, Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles, koda, SEAT/CUPRA and Audi brands taking part in the initiative have received a guide to assess their ecological performance and margins for improvement on a series of 70 criteria.
If we want our planet to remain liveable, we need to join forces to reduce CO2 emissions as quickly as possible. We have already set ambitious targets for the Group. So it's only logical that we should also support our distribution network in meeting these challenges', commented Hildegard Wortmann, member of the Group's Extended Executive Committee, in charge of Sales.
