Under Armour announced on Friday the appointment of Yassine Saidi, a former adidas and Puma executive, to the position of product director, a move that completes the recent management reorganization at the American sports equipment manufacturer.

Saidi, who joins the company on January 29, has nearly 20 years' experience in the industry, where he has proven his ability to leverage a brand's 'DNA' to create business opportunities in the athletic apparel and footwear markets, says the Baltimore-based group.

Under Armour also said that Kara Trent, the current head of the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region, would become president of the Americas zone as of February.

Under the leadership of its new CEO Stephanie Linnartz, the company has recently changed commercial director, logistics director, design director and communications director.
