A lot goes wrong at the webshop for reused phones, tablets and laptops Refurbished.nl. Orders are often not delivered and in case of cancellations the money is refunded very late, or not at all. According to the company itself, there is "not much" going on.

Orders that are not delivered, a barely reachable customer service and cancelled orders that are not refunded or are refunded with great difficulty. These are some of the dozens of complaints consumer program Radar received about electronics company Refurbished.nl.

Back in 2021, a Facebook group called 'Gedupeerden van Refurbished.nl' was started, with over three hundred people as members. But lately there seems to be an increase in the number of complaints. On Trustpilot, the company received 576 1-star reviews in the past year. Of these, more than half were posted in the past three months.

For years, Refurbished.co.uk has been a major player in the field of refurbished electronics. The company sells used appliances, which are given a second life through refurbishment. They do this through 32 suppliers. In 2020, the site received the Shopping Award 'Ecommerce50' for the fastest growing E-commerce company in the Netherlands.

According to director Joost Angelier, the company has had some technical problems with suppliers. As a result, duplicate products were ordered, and products were out of stock.

According to the director, long waits and frustrations will soon be a thing of the past. "I think we need two to three more weeks to clear this all up. Then it should be out of the world,' he told reporters on Thursday, Oct. 5.
