Toupargel implements Oxygen 2020 Strategic plan and develops new growth driver

2017 sales were down 7.4% to €271.4 million due to the erosion in telephone sales of frozen products, the company's historical business. This decline is the result of an 8.5% decrease to 5.3 million in the number of orders delivered, offset by an €0.8 increase to €52 (excl. VAT) in the average shopping basket. Sales of frozen, fresh and grocery products from inbound channels (internet and inbound calls) rose 22% in 2017 and represented 10.2% of Toupargel brand sales, compared to 7.8% in 2016.

Implementation of the Oxygène 2020 strategic plan, launched in mid-2017, has already resulted in the following measures:

- Strengthening the Management Team by adding a Head of Marketing, Purchasing and Communications, a Supply Chain Manager and a CIO;

- Making fresh foods and groceries available throughout France, positioning Toupargel as the only company able to deliver food to the country's 36,000 cities, towns and villages;

- Bringing new websites online for the Toupargel and Eismann brands;

- Modernising the catalogues and launching a new visual identity to make the Toupargel brand more attractive to consumers.

In addition, the Group has initiated discussions and trials with major distributors so as to capture more value from its expertise (product selection, telemarketing and logistics). Lastly, operating cost adjustments will continue.
