Tintri Inc. announced that XtraDesktop has deployed Tintri's all-flash storage systems. XtraDesktop has adopted Tintri to support its DaaS testing and production workloads, delivering a range of improvements over a previous Atlantis-based solution, including better insights, linear scalability, simplified management and faster on-boarding for new DaaS partners. The Tintri systems are already supporting over 700 VMs, with capacity in place for several thousand more. The deployment of Tintri was prompted by the need to deliver a more powerful infrastructure solution that would be easier to scale as demand for its DaaS service increased. The deployment has enabled XtraDesktop to reduce problems from running multiple workloads on the same array, while giving the ability to host 2,000 VMs on one Tintri unit. In addition, Tintri analytics enables them to more accurately predict capacity requirements, and quickly scale-out to on-board new partners faster.
