Sales are growing on every market of 5% for the first quarter of 2012 and Coca-Cola could count on emerging economies to take over from OCDE economies. India is one of the most dynamic markets for the American leader. With a 20% growing in this country, and 27% for Coca Cola brand only, new investments were predicted. Furthermore the company is supposed to get back in Angola and Myanmar in 2012 or 2013. This markets with fast growing permit Coca Cola to keep an important turnover as expected at 48.4 billion dollars for 2012 and a net result expected at 9.2 billion dollars.
Technically, the stock followed a bearish trend during the last five months. A decline took place offering an optimal entry point at USD 76.2. Moving averages are well oriented and could support the trend on the way to the resistance crossing at USD 77.45 and upper on the highest historical at USD 82. Weekly configuration shows a consolidation phase in the USD 72/77 range but 20-weeks moving average crossed the support and will formed a new support level for the stock.
Investors could take a buy position on The Coca-Cola Company with a target at USD 82. A stop loss will be engaged at USD 74.2 to avoid disappointment.
