On 7th December, staff from St Edward, a joint venture between The Berkeley Group and M&G Investments, and new residents gathered to mark the opening of The Residents' Club 51 at Bankside Gardens. This amenities hub, exclusive to residents, is the latest milestone to be reached at the development, a collection of 461 new homes situated minutes from Reading town centre.

The celebrations began with a ceremonial ribbon cutting at the entrance of the new building, attended by the St Edward project team. Later in the day residents of Bankside Gardens, many of whom have very recently moved into their new home, visited The Residents' Club 51 to view and experience the facilities, an array of hotel-style amenities rarely available in apartment buildings outside of London; a co-working studio, gym, private cinema and a concierge service are all on offer.

A St Edward spokesperson commented: "The launch of the residents' hub is a significant moment for Bankside Gardens. Our new residents are part of an already thriving neighbourhood, supported by our Community Liaison Officer who is putting on events and activities to help everyone get to know each other. We look forward to more people moving in as the Bankside Gardens community continues to grow, and to celebrating more exciting milestones - such as the opening of Reading Green Park Station - in 2023."

Bankside Gardens offers a London-style lifestyle in a superb Reading location; these design-led 1 and 2-bedroom apartments offer a premium specification and bold, contemporary design. A new Tesco Express convenience store will be located on the ground floor of No. 4, one of the apartment buildings, and is due to open in early 2023. The homes at Bankside Gardens form part of Green Park Village, which is centred around a nine-acre lake with walks, trim trails, play areas, green open space, a new Market Square and Green Park Village Academy primary school. Green Park Business Park is just a short walk away from the development and home to offices, a public gym and a range of eateries.

Residents will also benefit from the all-new Reading Green Park Station, due to open in early 2023, which will provide quick access to Reading in just six minutes and from there, access to London in just 23 minutes.

Residents started moving in this Summer, and the whole development is set to complete in 2024.

Prices at Bankside Gardens start from £316,500 for a one-bedroom apartment and £415,500 for a two-bedroom apartment. To find out more visit www.banksidegardens.co.uk.
