Fitch confirms Terna’s rating: BBB+, Stable Outlook

FITCH CONFIRMS TERNA'S RATING: BBB+, STABLE OUTLOOK

Rome, 30 April 2020 - Today, Fitch Ratings Ltd. ("Fitch") has affirmed its Long-Term Issuer Default Rating (IDR) and its senior unsecured rating on Terna S.p.A. at BBB+, with Stable Outlook. At the same time, the Agency has also affirmed Terna S.p.A.'s Short-Term rating of the issuer (IDR) at 'F2'.

The affirmation of Terna's rating enhances the robust Investment plan that the company has launched for the country, over € 7 billion in the next five years for an increasingly safe, efficient and sustainable electricity grid. The company's rating is now two notches above Republic of Italy's rating.

Fitch's assessment confirms the stability of the company, as already affirmed a few days after the presentation of the 2020-2024 Strategic Plan.
