Price revision of cement and cement-based soil stabilizers

Taiheiyo Cement Corporation (Head office: Bunkyo-ku, Tokyo; President and Representative Director: Yoshifumi Taura) will revise the sales price of various cement products from April 2025.

Although the price of coal for cement production, which has risen sharply against the backdrop of the situation in Russia and Ukraine, is subsiding, it is still at a high level amid the uncertain global situation. The severe environment surrounding energy costs remains unchanged due to the impact of foreign exchange rates.

In addition, due to the 2024 problems caused by the application of laws related to work style reform, the impact of rising costs such as logistics costs, repair costs, and labor costs has become serious, and the business environment surrounding our company has become even more severe.

Under these circumstances, Taiheiyo Cement is making efforts to contribute to a recycling-based society and achieve carbon neutrality through the supply of cement. However, in recent years, the demand for cement has decreased significantly, and further improvement in profits is necessary to continue the domestic cement business.

Although we have been making efforts to improve productivity and reduce costs, Taiheiyo Cement have decided to revise the sales prices of cement and cement-based soil stabilizers as follows, considering that it is difficult to absorb these costs through corporate efforts alone.

For the price revision, we recognize that a certain period of preparation is necessary from the viewpoint of shifting to the business practices and product prices of related industries to gain the understanding of business partners and has announced the revision at this time.
