Suminoe Textile Co. Ltd. announced consolidated earnings results for the six months ended November 30, 2015. For the period, the company reported net sales of JPY 48,861 million compared to JPY 43,482 million a year ago. Operating income was JPY 1,784 million compared to JPY 1,523 million a year ago. Profit attributable to owners of the parent was JPY 1,082 million or JPY 14.34 per share compared to JPY 1,120 million or JPY 14.85 per share a year ago.
For the full year ending May 31, 2016, the company expects net sales of JPY 98,000 million, operating income of JPY 3,800 million and profit attributable to owners of the parent of JPY 2,590 million.
Suminoe Textile Co., Ltd. is a Japan-based company mainly engaged in the manufacture and sale of interior products, automobile interior materials and functional materials. The Company operates through three business segments. The Interior segment is engaged in the manufacture, sale and decoration of carpets, curtains, wallpaper, various flooring materials, among others. The Automobile and Vehicle Interior segment is engaged in the manufacture and sale of interior materials such as automobiles, buses, railway vehicles and aircraft. The Functional Material segment is engaged in the manufacture and sale of hot carpets and deodorant-related products. In addition, the Company is also engaged in test contracting business.
